Program
With the folk influences Domenico Scarlatti absorbed during his stay in Seville, he gave Iberian keyboard music a decisive turn. However, the idea is not entirely to his credit: at the Portuguese court he had taught Carlos Seixas, a young keyboard player who experimented with folk music. Antonio Soler, in turn, had his composer's hand guided by Scarlatti. Pieter-Jan Belder interweaves the musical ins and outs of this fascinating triumvirate.
